James Sommerin, Executive Chef at The Crown at Celtic Manor and sister restaurant The Crown at Whitebrook - together with his talented team, creates dishes of sublime intensity by combining excellent locally sourced seasonal produce to create the fresh, crisp and punchy flavours for which The Crown restaurants are famed.

James, who describes his food as having a French influence, secured a Michelin star in 2007, an accolade which he retained this year. The influential Observer Food Monthly magazine also recently placed James among the top five young chefs in the UK to keep an eye on in 2008.
