This role is responsible for ensuring the ultimate in guest experience in all golf related areas and to work with the Golf Operations Manager to continually develop ways of increasing quality of service in order to exceed guest’s expectations.
 
This role will ensure the support all of the business objectives of the Golf Operation by successfully managing all golf service related areas on a daily basis.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years in a management role in a hospitality environment as well as a minimum of 18 months managing a team in a customer focused environment. In addition they must be qualified to diploma level or must have completed some form of management development programme.
 
Previous experience in managing, leading,  coaching , developing staff and being able to problem solve will be vital.
 
The person will have a keen interest in Golf plus a strong knowledge of the rules of Golf and play off a handicap of 18 or less as entertaining clients will be of paramount importance.
 
Although a Hospitality or Golf Management degree is not essential to perform the role, it would be desirable, as would some form of sales and/or marketing background.
 
Due to the nature of the role this person must be of reasonable physical fitness and will be expected to adhere to stringent grooming standards. The appointed person will also be an effective, motivating and articulate communicator and be able to converse in the written English word in a professional manner.

Golf Services Manager
Luxury 5 Star Resort – Ryder Cup Venue 2010
 
The Celtic Manor Resort is a world-class destination set in 1400 acres of parkland in the beautiful Usk Valley, South Wales, UK and we are currently recruiting an experienced Golf Services Manager.
 
This role is responsible for ensuring the ultimate in guest experience in all golf related areas and to work with the Golf Operations Manager to continually develop ways of increasing quality of service in order to exceed guest’s expectations.
 
This role will ensure the support all of the business objectives of the Golf Operation by successfully managing all golf service related areas on a daily basis.
 
All Golf areas to include:
The Golf Services Team
Locker Room Facilities
2010 Reception Team
The Celtic Manor Resort Buggy Fleet (and all hire equipment)
Internal and external golf related areas
 
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years in a management role in a hospitality environment as well as a minimum of 18 months managing a team in a customer focused environment. In addition they must be qualified to diploma level or must have completed some form of management development programme.
 
Previous experience in managing, leading,  coaching , developing staff and being able to problem solve will be vital.
 
The person will have a keen interest in Golf plus a strong knowledge of the rules of Golf and play off a handicap of 18 or less as entertaining clients will be of paramount importance.
 
Although a Hospitality or Golf Management degree is not essential to perform the role, it would be desirable, as would some form of sales and/or marketing background.
 
Due to the nature of the role this person must be of reasonable physical fitness and will be expected to adhere to stringent grooming standards. The appointed person will also be an effective, motivating and articulate communicator and be able to converse in the written English word in a professional manner.
